Night Riding in Moab, Utah

A trail that is easy to follow during the daylight hours, can be VERY difficult to follow in the dark, unless you know it VERY well. Trails that are difficult to navigate become impossible to all but the most experienced guide who rides the trails repeatedly.

Summertime temperatures are brutally hot from 10AM til just after dark, but the temps are heavenly at night between 10PM and after dawn.

Anyone who is interested in wildlife is going to see a lot more of it during night hours than during the hot daylight hours. If this is your reason for riding, let us know. We will put you in the right situation for viewing night creatures.

MOON PHASE and season dictate night riding schedules. Night rides are only offered during a two week period from waxing half moon to waning half moon, from April through September.

It is helpful if you bring your own light system. Having a great lighting system demonstrates how serious you are about riding at night. Dreamride offers sales of mountain bike lighting systems to clients who want to upgrade or augment, but if you do not own a lighting system, you are probably not up to night rides in Moab.

Private groups of two or three riders can substitute a night ride for any ride in a series as part of the Elite Guide Service Upgrade. Any Elite package includes the chance to substitute any day ride with a night ride at no additional charge.

Every year, just prior to and during the full moon in late spring, summer and early fall, Dreamride offers NIGHT RIDING INVITATIONALS. These are offered to our best clients, usually those who have purchased one or more of our bikes, or who have ridden with us more than once.
